Our closing day is filled with lots of excitement (as each day is). Once again, there were wonderful presentations on product and ideas for projects. We are entertained, inspired, and delighted with all that is shared with us. It is truly a celebration, and by the third day, we are all loving our Stampin' Up! family.
There was "Prize Patrol" every day, where we all had a chance at winning a goody bag filled with product. Today way my turn!! My prize was an alphabet stamp shown in the current mini catalog and beautiful rhinestones -- a new product in Stampin' Up! catalog.
What's better than free stamps? More free stamps!!!! At the end of the day, Stampin' Up! gave each demonstrator in attendance a new stamp set, silver glass glitter, and holiday Designer Series Paper from the mini catalog that will soon be released. How fun is that?!
There are plenty of samples and displays to look at during Convention -- but this one takes the cake!
No... Stampin' Up! is not selling candy, but everything in this "store" is just as sweet. Everything in this display is made using Stampin' Up! products.

I wanted to stay here at this display all the time. The detail was incredible! In the photo, you can see small glass cups. Some were filled with glitter, and some were filled with brads. Each section in the display was color coordinated. Simply, a work of art. Hats off, once again to Stampin' Up! for creating such a delightful display, and the most exciting Convention ever!

CONVENTION, DAY 2
Imagine coming into a room being greated by hundreds of smiling faces!!!! Upbeat music and people dancing everywhere, and swapping too! This is what it's like to be at Convention.
Once everyone gets seated, we enjoy hearing about the new products in the catalog, and seeing what we can do with them.
Lunchtime is fun too! I don't know how they do it. They seat all of us at once. The meals are good, and, of course, there's more swapping!!
My friend Debby and I organized a Build a Bear Swap. Here's my swap:
The evening was spent at Awards Night. There was entertainment afterwards.
Day 2 was VERY busy!! The rest of our roomates (4 in all) arrived. We each had a gift for each other -- it's so nice to see what each other comes up with. Here's my gift to my roomates. It's the first day of convention and the Salt Palace was full of excitement, laughter, swappers, and samples!! We checked in and received our bag full of stamps and a catalog. We're ready to go for the next day's events.
We spent our day in stamp camps, swaps, and shopping shopping at Stampin' Up!s "Momento Mall!!!! It's where we can purchase Stampin' Up! items and clothing.
The stamp camp was incredible. We made five projects and had lunch.
Then, we went to the "Over the Top" Swap.

Next, it's off to Stampin' Up! Flower Power kick off party. There were flower children, and music of the day, prizes and demonstrations.
Next, off to bed for a few hours of sleep.

STAMPIN' UP! CONVENTION, DAY 1:
I arrived in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, July 19. I spent my time checking in and visiting with stamper's from across the country. It is like visiting my stamping sisters.
One of the highlights of Stampin' Up! events is trading ideas with other demonstrators. We call then swaps. I spent the evening making my swap cards for an "Over the Top" Swap for the next day. Here is trades:
Stampin' Up! has a whole new color scheme for their inks, paper, markers, and embellishments! And the colors are fantastic!!!!

In February, I had the honor of giving a presentation at Stampin' Up!s Regional Training session Ft. Collins, CO.
I decided to show a little something that I do to Build a Bear, and to many other projects. I add a little dimension to my projects using a sponging technique.
You see the bear on the right is a little flat looking. By adding a little Really Rust around the edges and here and there adds detail.
Here's the bear's on a card. Again, the one on the left is plain and the one on the right is sponged.
Can you see the difference?

This class is a repeat of the Mass Production Card Workshop held in February. I used cards that I received as trades from Stampin' Up!s Leadership Conference and the Regional Training session in Colorado. They were made by other demonstrators. Aren't they nice!
